Zgodnie z nowymi zasadami fakt zatrzymania przez policjanta prawa jazdy, w związku z popełnionym wykroczeniem, pozostanie bez wpływu na możliwość późniejszego zatrzymania tego dokumentu na okres 3 miesięcy, a do wydania przez starostę decyzji w tym zakresie wystarczająca będzie informacja o ujawnieniu takiego wykroczenia.
Jednocześnie - informuje Komenda Główna Policji - nie uległy zmianie przepisy załącznika (tzw. taryfikatora) do rozporządzenia Prezesa Rady Ministrów z dnia 24 listopada 2003 r. w sprawie wysokości grzywien nakładanych w drodze mandatów karnych za wybrane rodzaje wykroczeń (Dz. U. z 2013 r. poz. 1624, z późn. zm.). Bez zmian pozostały także przepisy załącznika nr 1 (wykaz naruszeń wraz z liczbą odpowiadających im punktów) do rozporządzenia Ministra Spraw Wewnętrznych z dnia 25 kwietnia 2012 r. w sprawie postępowania z kierowcami naruszającymi przepisy ruchu drogowego (Dz. U. poz. 488).
